| Abstract | The city square is a key element of urban planning, most clearly manifesting the social, cultural, and ideological transformations of society. Within the system of public spaces, the square functions as a means of communication, representation of power, cultural identification, and symbolic understanding of urban space. Of particular interest is the analysis of the evolution of the square in late-developing cities located in territories with non-European cultural traditions. Among these is Kyzyl, the capital of the Republic of Tuva, which emerged in the early 20th century in an area dominated by the nomadic culture of the Tuvan people. | ||||
