AbstractThe «Lower Oreanda» resort on the southern coast of Crimea is one of the little-known implemented projects of the M.Ya. Ginzburg studio, all whose works, it would seem, were published many times. The stylistics of Soviet architecture in the mid-1930s is usually incomplete, if not mistakenly, described as «triumphant», but an analysis of specific buildings reveals a deeper picture. The history of the design of this sanatorium is reflected in the archival documents published for the first time in this article.
