Article	THE MAIN DIRECTIONS OF DEVELOPMENT OF «BIG ROSTOV»

Abstract	The article is devoted to the study of modern directions of development of «Big Rostov». A historical analysis of the development of the center of the Rostov agglomeration was carried out, on the basis of which the spontaneity of the growth of the agglomeration center was revealed. The territory under consideration has a high degree of study, the task of the study was to consider this territory using positions not previously taken into account when creating the concept of «Big Rostov» in 2009. The article considers the issues of forming a transverse profile of the transport and communication framework, synchronizing functional zoning and land categories, topical housing models. Taking into account the studied positions, the main directions of the development of «Big Rostov» were specified, as well as their nature of development. This study was carried out on the basis of Regional research and design institute of town planning within the framework of scientific and research work in accordance with the state task of the Ministry of Construction of the Rostov region in 2020.
