Article Architectural principles of sensorial stimulating spaceS DESIGN for children's preschool institutionS

Abstract The article focuses on the challenges inherent within organizing and designing preschool educational facilities. Through analysis of foreign and domestic psychologists, the article examines the influence that architectural environments have on the cognitive development of children. The study reveals positive and negative characteristics of kindergarten spaces. The article further describes a range of sensory-stimulating characteristic of architecture, referred to as «Didactic Spaces» and explores the influence that these spaces have on children. The architectural tools for creating a didactic environment are considered in detail: color, light, sound, tactile perception, described their mechanism of work. The authors have developed a new space for the kindergarten - a natural workshop.
