Article FORMATION OF FUNCTIONAL CONCEPTS IN MODERN ARCHITECTURE
Authors E. Belash
Moscow Institute of Architecture (State Academy), Moscow, Russia
Abstract The article reveals the main features of functional design in modern architecture. The analysis is not focused on the study of design concept itself, but on the study of the conditions and methods of their formation, which serve as the basis for the emergence of a variety of functional structures in architecture in recent decades. The differences between modern and functionalism and functionalism of the XX century are revealed. The levels of structuring of the raw data set that largely determine the final design decision are determined. The stages of formation of the project concept, on the basis of which there are specific spatial structures of the building, are highlighted.
Keywords: theory of architecture, functional geometry, architectural diagrams, geometric constructions
