AbstractThe connection between the theoretical premises of modern Orthodox temple architecture and the range of typical design tasks in the design of large temple complexes in the metropolis is considered. Some aspects of the characteristic interrelations of cultural-historical and spiritual aspects of society life, on the one hand, and the specifics of applied design techniques for the studied category of objects, on the other hand, are revealed. The significance of a detailed cultural and historical analysis of the design environment is shown.
