Article THE ROLE OF SILK-WEAVING FACTORIES IN CREATING PALACE INTERIORS OF THE XIX CENTURY
(ON THE EXAMPLE OF SAPOZHNIKOV’S FACTORIES)
Authors E. Malaya
Moscow Institute of Architecture (State Academy), Moscow, Russia
Abstract The article is devoted to the actual problem of the revival of textile enterprises of the late XIX – early XXI centuries, in particular, silk-weaving enterprises. The article shows the possibility of restoring the working process of small textile enterprises for the revival of production using modern equipment and technologies. The possibility of restoring production without using large funds for reconstruction is demonstrated, since many silk-weaving enterprises in Europe have been operating in the same premises for more than 400-700 years without changing the equipment. Implementation of such projects will serve the economic independence of cities and create a comfortable environment for residents. Many textile enterprises in Russia can be reanimated, production restored, which will serve the successful development of cities, employment of the population, and this can be done by simple architectural and construction means. The revival and development of silk-weaving enterprises will have a significant impact on the development of design elements of architecture.
