ArticleLASER SCANNING TECHNOLOGY ARCHITECTURAL SURVEYING OF THE USPENSKAYA CHURCH IN CHERDYN (RUSSIA)

AbstractThe article represents the results of the architectural and construction survey of the Uspenskaya church in town of Cherdyn, Perm region, a sample of provincial baroque architecture of the late XVIII century. The laser scanner survey was used to obtain baseline data for the reconstruction project of the church bell tower. The documentary analysis was performed on the preliminary stage. Historical-archival, operational and other documents were studied. The results are summarized in the article. A point cloud was obtained and a three-dimensional model of the building was constructed. The updated architectural and planning parameters of the building were based on the three-dimensional model. Visualization is presented in the (Recap) format, the obtained results of strength calculation (for the church porch constructions) are shown, 2D-drawings were designed for the bell tower reconstruction project and the restoration of the building.
