Article	HISTORICAL AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FEATURES OF WOODEN RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS IN THE PENZA CITY

Abstract	The article discusses the historical and town planning features of the formation of wooden residential buildings in the city of Penza: neighborhoods and territories of the households of the historic center. The main stages of the formation and characteristics of the wooden city of the late XVII – early XX century are given. Presents the main gras-construction types of urban estates Penza. The results of the analysis of the historical and territorial dynamics of wooden residential architecture in the structure of Penza in the late XIX – early XXI century are published. The problem of preserving the historical and cultural heritage of wooden architecture is touched upon.
