Article ABOUT THE METHOD OF CODING "PEDESTRIAN-COMFORTABLE" URBAN ENVIRONMENT AND THE COMBINATION OF "CENTRIC" AND "LINEAR" URBAN SPACES

Abstract The article describes the project experiment on algorithmic programming conducted in the framework of the course «Visual models in urban Planning» in MARHI. The objective of the experiment was to write a software module for constructing a three-dimensional model of a fragment of the urban fabric with the formation of a pedestrian space-comfortable and built to a human scale urban environment on a pre-established grid-frame. The basis algorithm for the software module served as the matrix table of «Locations centered public spaces with respect to the intersections of different types of linear spaces». In the article the review of integrated GIS portals from the point of view of their use in gradoregulirovanie and planning, as well as analysis of some existing software for parametric planning.
