Article DEVELOPMENT OF THE ORTHODOX CHURCHES TYPOLOGY IN THE 1990–2010s IN RELATION TO THE PERIOD OF THE SECOND HALF OF XIX – EARLY XX CENTURY ON THE EXAMPLE OF TVER REGION AND TVER

Abstract The article considers some aspects of formation and development of types of Orthodox churches since the early 1990-ies up to the present time. The investigation used information about the Church building in Tver and Tver region in the mentioned period. The basis for comparison with the present accepted in the churches of Tver and Tver region from the mid-nineteenth century to 1917, with a certain selection of representative samples. Also as a potential source of ideas of modern architecture are some temples of earlier time. A comparison of objects along the lines of the main typological groups allocated by application of the previously proposed classifier of architecture of the Orthodox churches was done. The options of proposed theoretical interpretation of the obtained data keeps the statistical analysis of the investigated objects.
