Article THE REAVILING OF THE EXHIBITION SPACE STRUCTURE OF CONTEMPORARY MUSEUMS
Authors E.V. Ermolenko, Moscow Institute of Architecture (State Academy), Moscow, Russia
AbstractThe Suite of galleries and exhibition halls used in the classical architecture of the Museum of the XIX century, in the ÕÕ century ceased to meet the requirements of the new Museum buildings. The emergence of the concept of universal space proposed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, in many ways, influenced the development of a new type of exhibition space, which became one of the most commonly used in modern museums. In parallel was the development of a fundamentally different lines of structuring of the internal space, the main feature of which was the filling out of the exhibition hall stands and numerous "partitions", followed of "short" complex spatial group. This trend has led to a paradoxical phenomenon: the internal structure of the Museum was to mimic the structure of the city. The article considers the most typical examples of such transformation of the exhibition space
Keywords: Keywords: exhibition space, free plan, composition of the space, the museum-city, contemporary museum
