Article THE CONCEPT OF IDENTITY AND FACTORS OF ITS FORMATION

AbstractArticle explores the concept of identity, its position in the context of the human sciences. It traces back the historical roots of the term, its scientific illumination both in architecture and other sciences. Also it switches the concept of identity into the architectural science, analyzes the work of the researchers that affect this concept to all intents and purposes. Based on the study of sources the general schematic structure of the formative factors is synthesized as a basis for further researches of the identity of the urban environment.
