Article	ABOUT THEORY OF RESTORATION IN ITALY ON THE BORDER OF ХХ-ХХI CENTURIES

Abstract	In the article there are considered the architecture restoration approaches of the theorists and profession practitioners in Italy: Giovanni Carbonara, who is a supporter of the "critical-conservative" approach, Marco Dezzi Bardeschi, advocating "clean preservation", and Paolo Marconi, adhering to the "repair and maintenance" approach; as the most widely spread in the Italian practice of restoration. Has been carried out a comparative analysis of the authors' creative concepts regarding restoration additions, the interrelation of restoration, conservation and reconstructive actions at the site, general theses of the theory.
