Abstract	This work shows the results of the research potential of unused urban architectural environment of Moscow. Young architects and students of the Moscow Architectural Institute and the Russian University of Friendship of Peoples were involved for survey and analysis. The result was revealed significant potential of urban land abandoned that for his rehabilitation require the efforts of specialists in various fields. Methods of field surveys, exploring domestic and foreign experience and landscaping megacities give the desired results - at the level of sketch student projects, recommendations were made to improve the quality of life of citizens, to transform and enhance the architectural and artistic characteristics of the area of their life.
