Article VARIABILITY OF THE CITY ENVIRONMENTAL SPACE IMPROVEMENT IN THE PROJECTS OF STUDENTS FROM MOSCOW ARCHITECTURAL INSTITUTE

Abstract The article considers the attitude of MARCHI students to the need of compensation for the lack of public areas in the city by architectural and urban planning tools, also their project ideas. Analysis of competitive works of students in the stated categories (street, square, embankment, public space) shows the overall competence in the following areas: factors affecting the formation of favorable living environment, architectural planning and urban development methods for solving spatial problems, a comprehensive work on the project. Contest participants developed variants of interaction with terrain, possibility for connection with infrastructure, small architectural forms.
