Article PUBLIC SPACES OF VOLOGDA TOWN AS AN OBGECT OF SOCIAL AND SPATIAL RESEARCH
Authors L.A. Shirokova, Moscow Institute of Architecture (State Academy), Moscow, Russia
Abstract Urban design is always associated with the development of scenarios of human behavior. Socio-spatial research can contribute in modeling of human behavior and use of spaces. After making research in Vologda, the author can conclude that for more efficient architectural and construction activities on territories connected with socially important public spaces there is a need to develop a specific document – the Local Design Guidelines for architecture of public space.

The reported study was partially supported by RFBR, research project No. 13-00-00001a. Head of the research project - prof. Krasheninnikov A.V.
