Abstract The article discusses a range of issues related to the functional and planning structure of public buildings on the example of business centers, which take into account the specifics of the network society. It is shown that the current model of the public complex is in the process of formation due to the rapid development of digital information technologies and the changed portrait of the target audience. One of the main characteristics of the architectural solution of business, cultural, educational and shopping and entertainment centers is polyfunctionality, i.e. high intensity of space use. The purpose of the research is to identify changes in the design philosophy of modern architects and to build projections for the future of polyfunctional architecture.
