Abstract	Changing the life of man and society in the era of technological revolutions requires the creation of a qualitatively new urban environment. Artists, designers and architects in this activity relied on the achievements of the plastic arts, which led this process in the 20th century. The world evolution of plastic arts demonstrates the transition from painting to volume (sculpture, installation, small architectural form) and to space (urban environment). This process is illustrated by the work of masters of various artistic fields, such as suprematism, neoplasticism, constructivism, purism and dadaism. Following abstract painting in the world of art, abstract sculpture followed. Its representatives K. Brancusi, A. Arkhipenko, D. Smith, G. Moore, B. Nicholson, E. Caro, A. Kolder, V. Koleichuk, K. Oldenburg, D. Judd, O. Hayek. The movement towards a new style of environmental artistic plastics in the 20th century was based on the following principles — geometry, biomorphism, functionality, adaptability, and aesthetics.
