Article	STANDARDIZATION AND TYPIFICATION IN RUSSIAN RESIDENTIAL HOUSING CONSTRUCTION (1930–1950)

Abstract	The article presents a historical and architectural analysis that considers the main stages of the process of standardization and typification in domestic housing construction in the second quarter of the XX century. The pre-war and post-war periods stimulated the development of new technologies for housing construction and its industrialization in the difficult economic situation. Determined attempts to create mass construction projects in the context of elite political propaganda became the basis for future developments in the second half of the 1950s. In many ways, the buildings built in the period under review are a unique example of engineering and architecture
