Authors E. Barchugova, N. Rochegova, M. Stamenkovich, Moscow Institute of Architecture (State Academy), Moscow, Russia
Abstract

The article continues the theme of adaption of the national Higher Architectural School to the demands of the information society. The theme was started by the authors in 2017, when the Educational and Scientific Center "Architecture and CT" (ESC "A&IT") began to implement the direction of the new specialized information technology to the Master's studies. Today, we can define the first results of this innovation direction. Three main research channels were identified as:
‒ IT as the basis of the modern design process. BIM technology and algorithmic modeling technology;
‒ IT as a tool for for-project research of the spaces of life activity in society. GIS (geo-information systems), BigData provided by the information technology;
‒ IT as an integral part of the habitat - buildings, structures, open spaces of streets, squares, parks. Multimedia technologies, interactive digital technologies.
The article describes the experience of Master's studies, focused on the high-tech conditions of modern architecture, its multimedia component, methods of usage of information technology at various stages of design, and studying the digital phenomenon of the modern environment.

Keywords: digital nature of the habitat, information technology modeling, multimedia component
