Article REPRESENTATION OF THE WATER CYCLE AND THE CIRCLE OF EARTHLY LIFE IN THE ARCHITECTURE OF THE ANCIENT TEMPLE

Abstract On the example of temple architecture of Ancient Greece a number of diverse ideas about the water cycle of nature, natural and calendar time cycles, the cycle of life, the real and legendary history are considered. It is shown how these representations are formed in the General structure of the temple, in separate architectural forms, in decor elements and in color solutions.
