Article DEMATERIALIZATION OF SPACE IN USSR ARCHITECTURE ON THE TURN OF THE 1950s – 1960s

Abstract The article is devoted to the figurative interpretation and symbolization of new building materials with pronounced reflective properties, especially glass, the use of which has increased significantly in the architecture of the ÕÕ century. Based on the analysis of the process of form creation and the works of Soviet architecture in the late 1950s-1960s, the phenomenon of "dematerialization of space" is revealed, both from the point of view of the physical properties of the architectural form and its deep content.
