Article ARCHITECTURAL-SOCIOLOGICAL STUDY TO IDENTIFY PRINCIPLES FOR THE PRESERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE CITY OF RYAZAN

Abstract The article deals with the current problems of preservation of the historical face of the city, including the problem of the loss of historical buildings not included in the Unified state register of cultural heritage (historical and cultural monuments) of the peoples of the Russian Federation. The questions of preservation of the historical and cultural environment within the framework of the legal aspect are investigated. The directions of restoration, preservation and transformation of the urban environment are revealed. The importance of public participation in the assessment of the urban environment is determined. Considered the historical and cultural potential of the city of Ryazan. The results of the sociological research conducted among the residents of Ryazan aimed at determining public opinion on the preservation and prospects of transformation of the historical and cultural environment of the city are evaluated.
