Abstract	The article is devoted to the review of innovative public transport systems in the context of their interaction with the organization of the urban environment. The main spatial and technical features of innovative transport systems, including their infrastructure. Classification of innovative public transport systems is introduced, including the main distinctive criteria and requirements for them. Approximate time intervals before implementation of the specific transport system of the future in the conditions of the town-planning situation in the Russian Federation.
