Article	NATIONAL AND FOREIGN VIEW ON ARCHITECTURAL COMPOSITION AND ITS ESSENCE

Abstract	This article is an attempt to analyse modern approaches to composition theory. Examines the study of Western and Russian architects, whose works formed the basis of or are still being used in the educational program of students of architectural schools. A comparison of basic concepts such as definition of the architectural composition, properties, architectural forms and means of expression of the architectural image.
