ArticleARCHITECTURAL AND SPATIAL COMPOSITION OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CENTERS OF RUSSIAN REGIONAL CAPITALS

Abstract

The article discusses the results of a comparative analysis of regional capitals in the national republics. The status of capital implies the development of representational spaces of the city center as the center of the region. The author evaluates the quality of the urban environment of the political core of the capital in terms of architectural and spatial composition, aesthetics of collective spaces of society, the degree of involvement of the landscape in the center of the spatial structure. A comparative study was carried out among a number of national capitals within the Volga Federal District.
