Abstract

The article describes a method for calculating the conditional passenger traffic in stopping points of public transport by means of GIS technology. The calculation results interpreted at map form and demonstrate the possibility of the development of transport infrastructure of the Novosibirsk city in implementation to new forms of public transport and improving old ones. The method can be used for rapid analysis of the service area of city public transport and visualization of the results for the development rationale and optimization of the traditional transport network.
