ArticleEXPERIENCE OF THE APPLICATION OF FLEXIBLE MEMBRANE COVERINGS IN RELIGIOUS ARCHITECTURE

Abstract

The article discusses the use of flexible membrane coverings, which represent the shell of membrane and textile materials. There are identifies the opportunities of flexible membrane coverings for creation of religious buildings with the observance of certain canons. Shown analysis of buildings and structures to conduct religious activities from the point of view of features of form-building: there are structural scheme, material, type of covering forms, Gaussian curvature, adaptability, stationarity, type of structures (tent or pneumatic), color decision. Formulated the validity of the using types of covering forms of the research objects in accordance with the requirements and requests that needs to follow in their design process.
