PRINCIPLES OF ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN OF MODERN MARINE TERMINAL COMPLEXES
Authors A. Korolkova , Moscow Institute of Architecture (State Academy), Moscow, Russia
Abstract
The article contains topical issues and trends in construction and architecture of marine terminal complexes. There is necessity to develop their planning structure due to the constant increase in requirements for transport facilities. The author formulated main principles of forming architecture of marine terminal complexes on this basis. The main principles are the interconnection of different types of transport, integration into the building citywide functions, minimum of intersections passenger flows, spatial layout, image-informative environment and humanization of the architectural environment. These principles can be considered the most relevant in the design of modern buildings of similar purpose based on the analysis of domestic and foreign experience.
Keywords: marine terminal complex, public transport facilities, spatial composition, functional-technological scheme, information systems
