Article PECULARITIES OF RECONSTRUCTION OF THE MEMORIAL CHURCHES INTERIOR

Abstract This article gives an analysis of the composition of the interior of the Orthodox Memorial Churches. Main features of mural compositions and church hymnography were analysed with respect to the historical cycles. This analysis is carried out on the example of author’s reconstructions of Byzantine and Russian Memorial Churches. Also presented author's projects of modern temples, based on traditions of orthodox church architecture of the past. Compositional and heuristic design principles of modern interior memorial temples were revealed.
