Article DECORATIVISM IN MOSCOW METRO (DUE TO THE ARCHITECTURE OF MOTION)

Abstract The movement of the passenger-the viewer, the spatial links of one station and the whole system is the definition of the transport assembles. Continuity of lighting and decorative forms, the integrity of their image and the sequence of their arrangement the basis of the expressive language of the Moscow metro as of first-order stations and the new stations. This article allows us to review the role and principles of decorative design several "generations" of Moscow metro stations, the relationship of the decoration and organization of the movement of passengers and trains at stations. The article offers ideas about synchronization of forms of movement and decoration as a method of expression of the station morphology.
