| Abstract |
The article examines the main historical stages of development of industrial zones of Moscow. The generalized description of the interaction of the functional structure of industrial zones with a functional structure of the adjacent areas for different purposes is presented. Some general patterns in the development of the types of interaction between industrial zones and urban environment are revealed by the analysis of structural and functional organization of industrial zones "Serp I Molot", "Severyanin" and "Ochakovo", located in the central, median and peripheral belts of Moscow. The basic stages in the development of interaction between industrial and residential areas are identified.
