DESIGN OF PARKINGS IN HOUSING ESTATES (THE HISTORICAL REVIEW)

Abstract
In article are considered stages of development of housing estates. The analysis of the reasons of transition from monofunctional to multipurpose housing estates is carried out. Abroad transition to multipurpose buildings happened to built-in garages at the beginning of the XX century. In the USSR housing estates with built-in parkings appeared in the second half of the XX century. Different time of emergence this kind of buildings is connected with various extent of automobilization.
At the beginning of the XXI century the largest cities of the world faced a problem of shortage of territories for placement of housing estates with built-in parkings. Before architects there is a problem of development of new housing estates with the parkings. New planning decisions allow to build residential buildings in reconstructed territories with enough of parking spaces.
