Article MOSCOW VILLA OF I.I. YUSHKOV. ON THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE ORIGINAL INTENTION
Authors Yu. Klimenko, Moscow Institute of Architecture (State Academy), Moscow, Russia
Abstract Construction of one of Moscow famous examples of architecture of the Classical period remained undone and its modern appearance is different from the original design intent of the customer and the architect. Analysis of specific design solutions, used in the rotoundal buildings of Moscow, allows to suggest different character of completion of spatial composition of the main house in the urban estate of I.I. Yushkov. Scientific (graphic) reconstruction, undertaken as part of this study, allows to evaluate the urban role of this architectural monument, the scale of its perception in surrounding building environment, and may contribute to the solution of the question of its attribution.
Keywords: Scientific reconstruction, Moscow classicism, Problem of attribution, French neoclassicism, Circular cylindrical set around a central pillar
