Article EXPEDIENCY OF ADAPTIVE REUSE OF INDUSTRY HERITAGE BUILDINGS

Abstract First part of the article reviews the history of the origin and development of the industry. The author shows the stages of development and types of industrial facilities. The article describes the role of industry in the urban development and contemporary, and the current state of the industrial heritage.

Second part of the article shows benefits of adaptive reuse of industrial heritage. Among them the historical and urban development potential, economic and environmental attractiveness and other.

At the end of the article the author concludes expediency of adaptive reuse.
