Abstract |
This article analyses a concept of body – one of the major meaningful layers in the design discourse of Rem Koolhaas. It is revealed a corporeal logic of spatial constructions directing a design of public buildings. It is identified a specific "program alchemy" generating quasi-organic, embryonic forms, eventual spaces and variety of events. This heterogeneous corporeal material is assembled by means of montage techniques, and future scenarios for use of architectural objects are defined.
