Abstract | This article deals with the problem of automated engineering - construction programs use in architectural education. Today there is a wide range of automatic graphic software, allowing architecture and design students to simulate various interesting shapes. It should be noted that graphics programs do not allow an accurate check of the design solutions, so instructional design, is limited only by the solution of space-planning, artistic and imaginative tasks.
To solve this problem, the authors of the article offer to use the opportunities of automated engineering - construction program SCAD office. A detailed study of the program showed that it allows to define the work of the design and the load acting on it, and also allows to choose optimal selection of components. The program interacts with many other software products and allows to work correctly with the imported geometrical models, which is very important when using graphics software. Examples of using the program SCAD office for the calculation of three different types of columns - an architectural monument (object Gaudi), simple armored concrete columns and intricate bionic columns made in the form of spatial rod system. It is concluded that the use of the program in the educational process of students of Architecture and design universities will significantly increase the level of training, will reduce the time and costs, will model more interesting architectural solutions. It is stated, that modern computational and engineering programs should be considered as an important design tool. Using the program could lead to a significant emerging the role of computer training in the curriculum of architectural and design universities. |
