Abstract | The article examined the relationship of biomimetic principles and shaping the vertical farms. Topical application of these principles is determined by a number of economic, environmental, social and planning issues. And use of natural features can improve the adaptation features of the architecture.
Levels of borrowing natural characteristics (organism, behavior, ecosystem) and natural typology (form, construction, material, process, function) were examined with examples of conceptual projects of vertical greenhouses. The analysis of the architectural projects proves that the use of the natural characteristics in architectural area will improve the efficiency and expression of architectural objects whose shape is the result of a full range of biomimetic principles that is the application of integrated approaches to the development of the natural and architectural environment. |
