Abstract | There are several problems in the development of transport infrastructure major cities. In fact, transport networks are the frames of the area which form the economic structure of it (terminology V. A. Lefevre (1973)) and economic fabric territory [1]. They have a significant impact on the configuration of settlement, industrial points, recreational and other recreational activities. Today the street-and- road network in the largest cities in Russia has a number of problems firstly caused by the increase in the number of vehicle fleet, insufficient capacity of the existing road network of a city and not a well-developed system of the traffic.
To solve the traffic problems of large cities it is necessary to create an effective system of transport apart from roads. Its effectiveness depends on the correct order of constructing underground stations and its development, taking into account the general course of development of urban areas, the system of social centers and existing and future passenger traffic. |
