Article THE EUROPEAN INFLUENCE ON THE CONTEMPORARY GARDENS OF THE EAST
Authors V. Dormidontova, Moscow State University of Technologies and Management by K.G. Razumovsky, Moscow, Russia
Abstract The article is dedicated to the up-to-date tendencies in the development of the landscape architecture in the leading countries of the East – China and Japan. The eastern gardening during the ages has been the source of methods, forms and elements for the gardens of Europe, saving its own individuality. Today the situation is changed. Along with the high development the loss of national originality is being noticed. The modern Eastern landscape architecture stands aside with the traditional methods of design. The cause is the global Europeanization, started after the World War II, and engaged all sides of today life, including the landscape architecture. As a fact, the same time with the modern European gardens are being decorated with new delicate stylizations of the historic eastern gardens, the modern eastern gardens copy the European ones.
