Article	JURIEV-POLSKIY IN THE XVII CENTURY (ACCORDING TO CENSUS BOOKS)

Abstract	This article contents. analyze of writing documents and pictorial sources that refer to the towns existence: the complete body of the materials connected with General Land-Survey of the Russian State (census books 1613, 1623, 1630, 1646, 1677), the drawing design of the first quarter of the XVIII-th century, plans of the second half of the XVIII-th century. Making a comprehensive study of the existing written and graphic sources, the author not only works out a detailed plan of Juriev- Polskiy on the first quarter of the XVII-th century, indicating private estates, as well as public, administrative and religious buildings of the time, preceding by almost 150 years the appearance of the first land-surveying plans of the town, but draws out the arrangement and architectural characteristics of elements of town structure on the period of creation of a census book (that happened five times in the XVII-th century). That made it possible to trace the evolution of architectural figure of a town body during the whole century.
