Article	LOCATION AND SIGNIFICANCE OF "TYPE" IN ARCHITECTURE

Abstract	This article describes the evolution of understanding of concepts “type” in architecture and urban planning. A classification based on the cultural aspect of “type”. On the one hand, the starting point adopted theory Kuatremer de Kuansi and held the line until the work of Aldo Rossi, Rem Koolhaas, where architecture is considered as a substance similar to the method of development of the language. On the other hand builds a circuit from Jean - Nicolas - Louis - Duran by Le Corbusier to Peter Eisenman, where the architecture serves as a tool to search for new forms and organizations. Also in the article provide examples that show a new milestone in understanding the types and as a result, new variants of design solutions in architecture and town planning. Also in this article attempts to show the need for typological studies as a way to achieve the typological synthesis and harmony in architecture.
