Abstract The present article is devoted to a brief consideration of the law-type formation. The author has formulated its distinctive features, and discovered its role in architectural design education.

Logical type of morphogenesis - core of human creativity. It relies on an archaic architectural tradition. Pattern present in the organization of natural forms, organisms and the structure of the universe. Produced by human habitat is based on the same fundamental laws of nature and is both a reflection and a "continuation" of the natural world.
