Abstract | Isfahan is one of the Iranian oldest cities which still continue to survive. It is located somewhere between Caspian Sea and Persian Gulf. It is the second largest cities of Iran after Tehran. Its position has been the key factor to its development, since it was situated at the big commercial roads of Damesquos, Halab in west and Bokhara and Samarghand in east, and in central Iran. It made this city become Saljoughid and Safavid capital city. Another key factor was Zayandehroud which contains highest levels of water among Iranian rivers. | ||||
