Ïðîáëåìû öåíòðà âñåãäà ïðèâëåêàëè âíèìàíèÿ ãðàäîñòðîèòåëåé. Ïðåäñòàâëåíèÿ î åãî ðàñïîëîæåíèè, ãðàíèöàõ è âîçìîæíûõ âåêòîðàõ ðàçâèòèÿ ìåíÿþòñÿ ñ ðàñøèðåíèåì óðîâíÿ ìîáèëèçàöèè ñîâðåìåííûõ òåõíîëîãèé óäàëåííîãî äîñòóïà, à òàêæå ïî ìåðå ôîðìèðîâàíèÿ îöåíîê öåííîñòè â ñîâðåìåííîì îáùåñòâå. Íîâûå ìåòîäèêè àíàëèçà ïîçâîëÿþò ïðîñëåäèòü ìîðôîëîãèþ äâèæåíèÿ è õàðàêòåð ïåðåìåùåíèé, îòðàæàÿ îñîáåííîñòè ïðîñòðàíñòâåííûõ ñòðóêòóð. Ýòî ñîçäàåò âîçìîæíîñòü îïðåäåëèòü âëèÿíèå êîíôèãóðàöèè ïëàíà ãîðîäà íà ôîðìó öåíòðà, âûÿâèòü íàèáîëåå äîñòóïíûå òî÷êè ãîðîäñêîé ñðåäû è âàðèàíòû ôîðìèðîâàíèÿ ïîäöåíòðîâ. Ïîäíèìàåìûå â äàííîé ñòàòüå âîïðîñû ïðîàíàëèçèðîâàíû íà ïðèìåðå òðåõ ðîññèéñêèõ ãîðîäîâ.
