AbstractThe article is devoted to the work of the Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta – the most outstanding master of the XX century, had a great influence on the development of modern architecture. Legorreta proclaimed the idea of architecture that meets the needs of people and meets the conditions of the architectural context, national traditions and culture of their country. His work has become widespread in Mexico and far beyond. Everywhere the master's language remained original and recognizable. On the example of the main components of architecture – form, space, volume, composition, color, light, the author analyzes the artistic language of architecture Ricardo Legorreta, considers its continuity with the color-plastic and form-building principles of the architecture of Luis Barragan.
