Article Approaches and main tasks of territorial planning at the MODERN STAGE OF URBAN PLANNING DEVELOPMENT

AbstractThe article examines the main approaches to territorial planning at the present stage of urban planning development, briefly describes the history of the emergence and chronology of development of each of them, and also summarizes and systematizes the main criteria of the approaches. Based on the analysis of approaches, the question of the importance of participation of the population in the development of the territory is raised. The article concludes that it is advisable to apply one or another approach to territorial planning in the context of the problems of urban development during the period of urban planning development from the end of the 19th century to the present day.
