AbstractIn the process of civilization development, there is a process of stylistic trends changing, continuous disputes about what is the most valuable and important, reflecting the connection of society, its worldview and architecture. However, the basic rules concerning architectural design and composition, based on physical and physiological features and taking into account the sensory perception of forms by a person, remain unchanged. These rules, which do not depend on the era and place, are intuitive, form a certain archetype of an architectural object and its constituent elements. They allow you to continue to admire the monuments of architecture, the symbols of which are irrevocably outdated. The article attempts to consider the concepts and approaches to the design of architecture of the last third of the XX-beginning of the XXI century (Cr. Alexander, P. Schumacher, K. Lynch, Cr. Day, G. Lynn, J. Reiser, N. Umemoto, etc.) from the point of view of their adaptability and orientation to the anthropocentric design of objects of organic and organic architecture, taking into account the cognitive features of human perception of the environment.
