ArticleURBAN VOICES AS A COMPONENT OF ARCHITECTURAL ENVIRONMENT HUMANIZATION
Authors M. Sokolova, K. Alexandrova, Moscow Institute of Architecture (State Academy), Moscow, Russia
Abstract Today, urban voids are losing the role of the environmental framework, and residential development is a comfortable measure of density. Historically, voids are an integral component of urban environments and architectural monuments, they are more stable in time than architecture, provide a spatially visual variety of the environment, and form the psychological and emotional comfort of residents. The range of urban voids covers various spatial levels from the urban environment to a separate architectural unit - a building. The sought-after is a balanced combination of mass and void, blurred borders and permeability of the architectural mass, which creates a variety of environmental interactions between citizens and the potential for further development of architecture.
Keywords: spatial voids, gap, porosity, measure of the density of the architectural mass, comfortable urban environment
